Why do Asian ghost stories make the best movies?

Rating doesn’t make a movie scary, I prefer a story to my movie not a ton of blood and guts
I find that it’s because they don’t have any useless dialogue when they don’t need any, they can go on for a few minutes without saying a thing and lets the music/images draw you in uneasily to the story…
