At the conclusion of next season, I decided to dedicate this website to the best places to experience the magic of Halloween and what better place to start in Salem, Massachusetts.
Let's get the biggest drawback of the first form. Salem is one of – if not <em> </ em> – main locations to hold Halloween, so expect anything within the city limits to be booked solid well before October. That said, this guide will be almost useless if not included some interesting places to stay.
First on my list would have to be the inn at Washington Square. The large room rates from $ 100 (The Room common) to $ 225 (the honeymoon suite) and there is a minimum two-night weekend stays and Haunted Happernings, which makes it one of the most expensive Bed and Breakfasts I have studied. However, not only received rave reviews, its really thrilled and is an ideal place for holiday ghost hunter. For details, see The Inn at Washington Square </ a>.
For those interested in a little less kitsch, The Inn Salem – comprises three historic homes and "located in the Salem's historic heart – may well be the place for you. Prices range from $ 190 (Captain West House) to $ 350 (Peabody House).
Once again, as its a bit late in the season, your best option would be to stay in near Danvers, MA at Extended Stay America Boston – Danvers (5.21 miles from Washington Square). Its average daily rate is $ 91. Danvers is best known for his association with the Salem witch trials of 1692. The house of one of the condemned "witches" Rebecca Nurse, in Danvers is still standing and may be viewed as a milestone.
Throughout October you can participate in "America's most exciting Halloween Festival, Salem Haunted Happenings. In its 28th year, Haunted Happenings October 1 begins with the Salem Chamber of Commerce Grand Parade and ending October 31 The Reality Bites with masked ball in the Hawthorne Hotel.
Also in October is the feast of the dead ", a series of annual events that explores ways macabre death rituals heretical and strange stories. "Highlights include:

Now would be a good time to mention (to which they aspire paranormal investigator) the Hawthorne Hotel is also supposedly haunted. In fact – as you probably suspect – there are tons of haunted locations in Salem, including Gallows Hill, the House Ward and St. Mary Cemetery. As you can see, Salem is full of places to scare tacular adventures (sorry .. I could not help it) but please remember, the infamous footnote in history aside, there are more of "Witch City" of ghosts and witches, including (but not limited to) the oldest national historic site in the United States, Salem Maritime National Historic Site.
